Aurangabad, Nov 29 (UNI) The eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 429 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, health authorities said on Sunday.
The region also registered six more deaths due to the virus during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts in the region, Beed was the worst affected with 60 fresh cases and 3 deaths, followed by Osmanabad with 32 new cases and 2 deaths, Nanded 61 cases and one death, Jalna 36 cases, Aurangabad 120 cases, Latur 64 cases, Hingoli 31 cases and Parbhani 25 cases .
Meanwhile, the state of Maharashtra on the whole registered 5,965 more corona cases, taking the tally in the state to 18.14 lakh and further 25 more deaths.
At the same time 3,937 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of recoveries to 16.76 lakh so far in the state. and taking the rate of recoveries to 92.4 percent .
According to the health officials, 46,923 patients have so far succumbed to the disease in the state and 89,905 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
