Mah: Jayakwadi Dam full; all gates open

Aurangabad, Maharashtra,Sep 18 (UNI) With continuous inflow from upstream dams from neighbouring Nashik and Ahmednagar district, all 27 sluice gates of the Jayakwadi, which was full, were opened by the authorities presently and 94,320 cusecs water per second was being released into the downstream of Godavari river, Irrigation department sources said on Friday morning.
As many as 18 gates were lifted up to four feet and remaining nine gates up to two feet discharging total 94320 water causes per second in downstream of river Godavari may swell the level of river .
At present, the inflow was more than 37000 cusses following it the the dam level touched up to 99.44 per cent and 1521.70 feet and 463.875 in meter forced authorises to increase discharge.
