Mah: District NCP cancels its workers rally in Kagal

Kolhapur, Sep 19 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) district president A Y Patil announced that he has cancelled the party's workers scheduled rally which was to be held in Kagal tehsil to express support for state Rural Development Minister Hasan Mushrif after allegations made by Kirit Somaiya and after the promulgation of 144 section to ban entry of Mr Somaiya.
In a press conference late in the night, Mr Patil appealed to the workers and supporters of Mr Mushrif to maintain law and order in the district. He said that following the promulgation of Section 144, which forced the postponement of the 'welcome', function organised by the party workers for Mr Somaiya at the railway station after district police expressed banned Mr Somaiya from entering the district.
City NCP president R K Powar, Yuvraj Patil, ZP member, Bhayya Mane, Rajesh Latkar, Praveen Bhosale and other senior leaders were present on this occasion.
