Mah CM announces Rs 10 lakh financial aid to footballer Aniket Jadhav

Kolhapur, Sept 30 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced Rs 10 lakh as financial assistance to Aniket Jadhav, a young football player from the city who has been selected in Indian football team for the Under-17 FIFA Football World Cup scheduled to be held from October six in New Delhi. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje, a descendant of Rajarshi Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj of Kolhapur and Rajya Sabha MP, who gave moral and financial support to Aniket for securing admission to Pune Krida Prabhodhini, visited Aniket's residence late this afternoon at fifth lane of Shahupuri area of the city and honoured Aniket's father Anil Jadhav and his mother Kartiki for selection of their son in the Indian football squad. He told his father, who is an ordinary autorickshaw driver, about the financial assistance announced by the Chief Minister on behalf of the state government. State Higher Education Minister Vinod Tawde has already chosen Aniket as a 'Football Icon' of the state in the wake of his selection in Indian squad for Under-17 World Football Cup and suggested to all district collectors to place Aniket's photograph on every digital board about the World Cup Tournament.
