Mah Assy polls: Debutant Ramesh Bornare wins by highest margin in Aurangabad district

Aurangabad,Maharashtra,Oct 27(UNI) Shiv Sena candidate from Vaijapur assembly constituency Prof Ramesh Bornare, the first time election contender, has achieved the highest victory margin in the district by defeating his nearest rival NCP's Abhay Chikatgaonkar.

According to Election Commission data, Prof Bornare bagged the seat by a margin of 59,153 votes.

Mr Bornare was followed by another Sena candidate and sitting MLA Sanjay Shirsat from Aurangabad west constituency, in the terms of victory gap.

Mr Shirsat has defeated the BJP rebel Raju Shinde by a margin of 40,445 votes.

The third spot was occupied by BJP candidate and sitting MLA from Gangapur, Prashant Bamb, who has defeated NCP's Santosh Mane by 34,971 votes.

Congress rebel Abdul Sattar, who had contested the assembly polls on Shiv Sena ticket, retained Sillod seat by defeating Independent Prabhakar Palodkar with 24,381 votes.

State assembly speaker and sitting MLA Haribhau Bagade from Phulambri seat won by 15,271 votes against Congress nominee Kalyan Kale.

Sandipan Bhumare, a Sena candidate from Paithan, has retained his seat by defeating NCP's Datta Gorde by a margin of 14139 votes.



Minister of state Atul Save also succeed to retain his Aurangabad East seat by a margin of 13,900 votes against AIMIM candidate Dr Gaffer Kadri.



While, Shiv Sena strongman Pradeep Jaiswal wrested the Aurangabad central seat from AIMIM's Naser Siddqui by 13,600 votes.



The Shiv Sena candidate Uday Rajput has won the Kannad seat by margin of 12,690 votes against Independent Harshwardhan Jadhav, who was elected in last state assembly as Sena candidate.
