MADHYA PRADESH GETS NAT’L AWARD FOR BEST TOURISM STATE

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has earned the distinction of being conferred five accolades, for its performance in the tourism sector, at the National Tourism Awards function conducted in New Delhi. These honours include the National Award for Best Tourism State. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Minister of State for Tourism Mahesh Sharma presented these accolades to Madhya Pradesh M.o.S. for Culture and Tourism Surendra Patwa, State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Tapan Bhowmik, Managing Director Hari Ranjan Rao and Additional M.D. Tanvi Sundriyal. The honours comprise trophies and letters of citation, official sources said.


One of the awards is for making Amarkantak friendly for the differently able and another for the best Heritage Walk in the state capital. The Best Tourist Guide Award was given to Mr. Jeevan Jyoti Pateria.
