MACT issues attachment orders against ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company

Thane, Dec 11 (UNI) Thane MACT has issued attachment orders against the ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company which failed to honour the order of the MACT and pay a compensation of over Rs.9.72 lakhs to a 60-year-old widow, whose husband died in a road accident in 2015.
On Monday the court was approached by the advocate for the claimants who went to the company office at Thane for attachment and the Manager at the office has given a written undertaking that the company would make the payment by December 14,2018.
In its attachment order issued last week the MACT stated that furniture, fixture, fitting vehicle. Computer, chairs, table, cupboards, telephone, laptop etc and all other attachable movable articles belonging to and lying and being in the possession of the respondent be attached.
