M'rashtra faces shortage of blood supply and Remdesivir

Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI)Strict action would be taken against those involved in black-marketing of essential medical equipment as the state of Maharashtra is facing a shortage of blood supply and Remdesivir along with a few other medical equipment like oxygen cylinder in the middle of the rapidly rising number of COVID-19 cases, Food and Drug Administration Minister warned.
In a statement, Rajendra Shingane said that a review meeting under his chairmanship was held in this regard on Sunday at the office of the Food and Drug Administration in Bandra with the representatives of the manufacturers of Remedesivir Injection and Medical Oxygen Manufacturers.
The state is currently left with only seven days of blood supply.
