Ludhiana resident arrested for violating night curfew

Nakodar, July 3 (UNI) The Meht Pur police have arrested a Ludhiana resident on the charge of
violating Jalandhar deputy commissioner’s (DC) order on the lockdown.
The investigating officer Tirath Ram said that the accused has been identified as Tejindar Singh a resident of Jattpura village in Ludhiana and was carrying five passengers in his vehicle for paying obeisance at Dera Murad Shah during night curfew and violated order issued by DC.

Lucknow, March 29 (UNI) Six persons were held guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment along with a combined penalty of Rs 11.65 lakh by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here on Friday in more than 19-year-old case related to murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal and his associates, an official spokesman said here.
