Lt Gen (Retd) R P Sahi appointed vice-chairperson of UP state Disaster Management Authority

Lucknow, Sep 11 (UNI) Lt Gen Ravindra Pratap Sahi, AVSM (Retd) has been appointed as Vice Chairperson of Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday.
The state government issued a notification on the new appointment on Monday, official sources here on Tuesday confirmed.
The retired General Officer is an alumnus of Capt Manoj Kumar Pandey UP Sainik School and commanded a Strike Corps. The officer retired as Chief of Staff, HeadQuarter Central Command in year 2016. He has served in varied operational environment in High Altitude Areas in J&K and North East as well as in Deserts of Rajasthan and plains of Punjab while in service. He played hockey at international level for India and served throughout in his career as Regional Sports Officer at Gorakhpur, Faizabad and Lucknow.
