New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) The Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE), Lok Sabha Secretariat, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in the Central Hall of Parliament House will organise a program on Sunday on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri, an official statement said.
As part of the programme, 99 young participants have been selected from schools and colleges from 28 states and two union territories across the country. The selection has been done by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, through various types of competitions.
All the participants will pay floral tributes to the national leaders in the Central Hall of Parliament, and out of them 30 selected participants will be provided a platform to speak about the contributions of our national leaders in the development of the country and will reiterate the principles and ideals of their lives.
During their visit to Parliament, they will be taken to the Chambers of both the Houses, Parliament Library as well as Kartavya Path, National War Memorial and Raj Ghat, the statement added.
