LS privilege panel's notice to Telangana CS

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) The Lok Sabha Committee of privileges issued a notice to Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Saturday over the recent illegal arrest of Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar by the police.
Bandi Sanjay,Telangana State BJP President, was arrested from his party office at Karimnagar on January 2 when he was planning an agitation against GO 317 that reshuffled state government employees.
Bandi Sanjay made a complaint by appearing before the committee in Delhi on Friday and explained the way he was arrested by the Karimnagar police. The Committee of Privileges has also issued notices to Principal Secretary (Home) Ravi Gupta, Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy, Karimnagar Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana, Karimnagar Assistant Commissioner Police Srinivasa Rao, DSP (Jagtial) Prakash and inspector of Karimnagar police Lakshmi Babu.
