LS polls: Special facilities for divyang voters in Haryana

Chandigarh, Apr 26 (UNI) Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Rajeev Ranjan said that special facilities are being given to 1,04,524 divyang voters in the general elections to 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana so that they can exercise their franchise without any inconvenience.
Mr Ranjan gave this information during meeting with the Chief Electoral Officers of all states held by the Election Commission of India through video conferencing, here today.
He said that 1,04,524 specially-abled voters have so far been identified in the state. Arrangement of 18,200 wheelchairs has been made for the day of polling on May 12. Along with this, about 11,670 volunteers have also been deployed for picking up and dropping back them. There is also facility of ramps at polling booths. He said that facility of dummy braille ballot paper has been provided for blind voters so that voters can understand the process of casting votes.
