States » North » DIEPosted at: Apr 26 2019 8:45PM LS polls : 223 candidates in fray for 10 Lok Sabha seats of HaryanaChandigarh, Apr 26 (UNI) As many as 223 candidates have been left in fray for election to 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana after withdrawal of nomination by ten candidates on Friday. Stating this here today, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Dr Inder Jeet said that on the last day of withdrawal of nomination, 10 candidates from six Lok Sabha seats have withdrawn their nomination. While one candidate each has withdrawn nomination from Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Hisar, Bhiwani-Mahendergarh and Gurugram parliamentary constituencies, five candidates have withdrawn their nomination from Karnal Lok Sabha seat. He said that the number of candidates who have been left in fray for the election included 18 from Ambala, 24 from Kurukshetra, 29 from Sonipat, 21 from Bhiwani-Mahendegarh, 24 from Gurugram, 20 from Sirsa, 26 from Hisar, 16 from Karnal, 18 from Rohtak and 27 from Faridabad Lok Sabha seat. He said that this time maximum 29 candidates are in fray from Sonipat parliamentary constituency whereas, minimum 16 candidates are in fray from Karnal Lok Sabha seat.
