LS adjourned till noon over AP demand, other regional issues

New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) Demand for granting special category status to Andhra Pradesh and other regional issues disrupted the proceedings in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
As the House assembled for the day, slogan-shouting members stormed into the Well and created a ruckus, forcing Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to adjourn the proceedings of the House till noon.
As soon as the House met for the day, members from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the AIADMK started sloganeering and rushed into the Well.
The TDP and YSRCP members were carrying placards, demanding SCS for Andhra Pradesh.
Members from TRS entered the Well of the House and demanded hike in reservation quota for Muslims in Telangana. They raised placards, which said 'One nation, one law' and 'Link MG-NREGA to farm labourers'.
The AIADMK members also entered into the Well, raising slogans for immediate setting up of Cauvery Water Management Board.
Within two minutes of assembling, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings till 1200 hrs, without conducting the Question Hour.
