Low developmental funds utilization in Assam last fiscal

Guwahati, Sep 25 (UNI) The Assam government managed to spend merely half of the funds allotted for priority development schemes for the year 2017-18 in the state Budget.
Out of Rs 48189.9 crore allotted for financial year 2017-18 by the state Budget for Schemes of Priority Development, about Rs 25,619.19 crore was spent, state Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma laid in the state Legislative Assembly here today.
He was responding to a starred question by Opposition Congress legislator Abdul Khaleque.
