Karnal, Dec 25 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that Lok Sabha and Assembly elections would not be held simultaneously in the state.
Addressing a press conference after inaugurating the Antyodaya Saral Kendras in all 22 districts, through video conferencing here, the Chief Minister said that an atmosphere is being created to hold Lok Sabha and Assembly elections simultaneously across the country, for this all political parties would have to give their views and pass a bill in the House.
As far as Haryana is concerned, elections would be held on their fixed time and if this is done by Central Election Commission then the state government is ready for simultaneous elections, he said and added that in 2024, there can be possibility of conducting simultaneous general elections in the country.
Mr Khattar said that caste remarks during recently held Municipal Corporations elections of Mayors have been misrepresented as from birth, every individual belongs to one or other caste therefore, politics should not be linked to any caste.
Responding to a question regarding setting up of a unit by Maruti company in Karnal, he said that it depends on the Maruti Company, from the state government the company had been offered two places in Gurugram and one each in Samalkha, Faridabad and Karnal.
On being asked about Rohingya Muslims, he said that this is Central Government issue, as far as Haryana is concerned temporary stay arrangements have been made for them, by the Home department.
The Chief Minister said that today is the birth anniversary of two great personalities of India, former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya and thus, Good Governance programmes are being organised across the country. In this connection, 485 schemes and services of 37 departments have been launched today.
He said that through the medium of e-Governance, people could be provided with good governance. He said that under the Right to Service Act, services are already being provided in a time bound manner and in Saral Kendras also services would be time bound.
In reply to a question, Mr Khattar said that feedback of Saral Kendras would be sought from all districts and the best performing Kendra would be honoured. In reply to a question regarding Polyclinic in sector-16, he said that he was informed that its building is ready and health department has been sent demand letter for the appointment of doctors and other staff.
On the occasion, he also released a journal of Haryana Patarkar Sangh. Sangh Vice-Chairman K V Pandit also raised some demands for journalists before the Chief Minister.
