New Delhi, Dec 5 (UNI) The Lok Sabha were adjourned for the day on Thursday after BJP member Nishikant Dubey made certain allegations against the leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi.
Dubey citing a report by a French publication and said such forces are trying to derail the Indian Parliament and the country's economy.
After two earlier adjournments, the House resumed at 3 pm to pass the the Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2024. However there was noisy protests by the opposition members.
As the uproar continued, Jagdambika Pal, who was in the Chair, adjourned the house for the day.
Meanwhile, the Congress strongly criticised the BJP MP and urged Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to direct Dubey to withdraw his comments and issue an apology.
The winter session of Parliament began on November 25 and will continue till December 20.
