New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) Ashwani Lohani was once again appointed as the Chief Managing Director of the state-owned Air India on Wednesday.
Mr Lohani, a retired Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME) officer, was given the charge of the debt-ridden national carrier for one year.
“The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr Ashwani Lohani to the post of the CMD, Air India, as per the usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed Central Government officers in the rank and status of Secretary to the Government of India for a period of one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” a government order said in a statement here.
