New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said security across Delhi borders has been tightened during the 21-day nation-wide lockdown imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Addressing a digital press conference along with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Mr Kejriwal said, 'Many people had gathered in Kaushambi on Friday and Saturday in the wake of rumors that buses had been arranged to take them to their villages. The situation had turned alarming, but it has been brought under control since yesterday.'
'Security across all the areas of Delhi has been tightened, and DCs and DCPs of all the areas have been instructed to ensure that nobody in their respective areas comes out," he further said.
Mr Kejriwal added that people have also been trying to enter the Delhi border area to cross the state, but
civil defense officers and the police have also been deployed in the area to stop the entry of the people.
