Local people blocked road demanding water and electricity

Ambassa (Tripura), Sep 25 (UNI) Irritated with the scarcity of potable water and lack of electricity, hundreds of villagers blocked a local road here at remote Ganganagar block area in the subdivision of Ambassa in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
The blockade continued for hours at 10 Mile area on Ambassa-Ganganagar road. One of the agitators Rangamala Tripura demanded, "The scarcity of potable water is a long drawn problem in our area and same is the case with electricity. Several times we have knocked the authorities and leaders for resolving our pathos but we have received only assurances. Hence we have blocked the road today".
Due to blockade, vehicles stranded on both sides and caused suffering for rank and file. After three long hours, the officials from block administration as well as from sub divisional administration reached the spot. The blockade was called off after The officials interacted with the agitators and assured them early remedy.
