Local Bodies’ missing files: govt’s ploy to destroy material evidence: AAP

Chandigarh, Jul 20 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Punjab, has termed the dozens of important files going missing from the Local Bodies Department’s office as deep-rooted conspiracy, saying that the missing files related to the 1144 crore Ludhiana City Centre Scam and the Mehraj Nagar Panchayat (Rampura Phul) in which CM Captain Amarinder Singh had figured prominently.
In a statement issued from party headquarters on Saturday, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly, Harpal Singh Cheema, has demanded a time-bound probe into the case under the watch of a sitting high court judge.
He added that the missing files related to the multi-crore scam in which captain Amarinder Singh was allegedly involved directly.
