Living Legend Soumitra Chatterjee turns 84

Kolkata, Jan 19 (UNI) Legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee, who was conferred the highest order of merit from France 'Legion of Honour' on January 30 last year, turned 84 today.
Born on January 19, 1935, Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Soumitra, who debuted in Satyajit Ray's 'Apur Sansar' has collaborated with the maestro fourteen times and his constant comparison with the Bengali cinema screen idol Uttam Kumar, his contemporary leading man of the 1960s and 1970s.
The stalwarts from various fields taking their social media account on to express their respect and gratitude towards the legendary thespian.
