Litterati wait for CM for inauguration of Shiv Kumar Batalvi Auditorium

Batala, Jan 3 (UNI) The litterateurs, witters and poets faced a piquant situation, when the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal did not reach to inaugurate the Shiv Kumar Batalvi auditorium, which was constructed in the memory of Punjabi keat Shiv Kumar Batalvi after a span of 35 years.
Mr Badal was here in this Industrial city to inaugurate the auditorium and came in a special chopper, but he never turned up at the venue. After reaching Batala, he went to the office of former MLA Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal, where he addressed the party workers and left for Skhwan village.
Padamshree awardee Poet Sujit Pattar, Padamshree awardee Wadali brothers and renowned Novelist and play righter Kewl Dhaliwal were among the litterati, invited for inauguration, who felt distressed when Chief Minister did not arrive. The venue was hardly one km away from the helipad.
