Liquor ban will be implemented in phased manner in Tirupati-TTD Chairman

Tirumala, Oct 23(UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board, the highest decision making body of the Tirumala temple, in its meeting on Wednesday evening resolved to liquor ban in a phased manner in the temple town of Tirupati on the lines of Tirumala, which is a liquor free zone.
"As both Tirumala and Tirupati are the core twin pilgrim centers, the liquor ban will be implemented in a phased manner in Tirupati City also on the lines of Tirumala which is a liquor free zone and the proposal in this regard will be sent for the consent of state government, said TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy.
Briefing the media persons, he said, "Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is firm on a complete liquor ban in the state."

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
