Lighting kills two old men in Ramgarh

Ramgarh, Sep 7 (UNI) Couple of old men lost their lives today as lightning fell upon them as they were grazing cattle under Ramgarh police station area of this district.
The deceased have been identified as Bhimnath Mahto (65) and Khirodhar Mahto (70). Both of them had gone to graze the cattle in forest areas located in Kankebar when suddenly it started raining and to prevent themselves from the rain, the duo had taken shelter under a tree but unfortunately lightning struck on the tree and both of them died on the spot.
After receiving information, the villagers brought back the bodies. A team from local police station arrived later and sent the bodies for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.

KSU seeks ‘independent inquiry’ into radiation leakage

South West Khasi Hills district bordering Bangladesh by IIT Guwahati and North Eastern Hill
University (NEHU), which are centrally funded universities and thus, according to the Union
appear as "Dependent Agencies" and not "Independent Agencies ".
