Life terms for 23 for murder of father-son in Dumka

Dumka, Dec 12 (UNI) A District and Sessions Court here on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to 23 persons and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each for the murder of a father and his son.
Judge (first) Md Rizwan awarded the punishment in an eight-year old case lodged at Jama Police Station area in case number 96/2009. If they failed to pay the fine within three months, the convicts would have to undergo further imprisonment of one year.
Additional public prosecutor Dinesh Kumar Ojha said, on August 20, 2009, after a land dispute in Khajuria village under Jama Police Station area, a group of men equipped with traditional arms and weapons attacked Molinder Pal and Ajeet Pal due to which they died on the spot. Two others Dasrath Pal and Dilip Pal were seriously injured.

Calcutta HC may suggest ECI for deferment of Baharampur LS poll
