Life remains paralysed for 19th day in Kashmir; restrictions back

Srinagar, Aug 23 (UNI) Uneasy claim prevailed as restrictions are back in most parts of Kashmir valley, including Srinagar, where life remained crippled for the 19th day on Friday since August 5, when Article 370 and 35 A were scrapped and the state was bifurcated by the Centre.
There was no report of any major untoward incident during the night in the valley, where restrictions are back to prevent demonstration and clashes after Friday prayers.
Restrictions were eased in some areas in the downtown and Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) after about two weeks. However, restrictions are back in majority areas in the downtown and SeK Friday morning to maintain law and order.
