Life limps back to normal in Tripura : JMAC to continue agitation against CAB

Agartala, Dec 13 (UNI) After disruption of continuous three days, major parts of Tripura is getting back to normal while Gandacherra of Dhalai and Kanchanpur of North Tripura districts remained volatile following 48 hrs general strike called by newly formed non-tribal forum Bangali Oikya Manch from this morning.
A delegation of Joint Movement Against CAB (JMAC), BJP’s ally in Tripura government IPFT and Tripura royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarman and Tripura State Party leader Patal Kanya Jamatia have had separate meetings last night with Union home minister Amit Shah over their demand to scrap CAB for the state to secure the interest of tribals, but it did not yield any result.
The JMAC leader and senior tribal leader Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhwal said over phone from Delhi, “They had detailed discussion with Shah over their concern. However, it didn't generate any hope, as Shah told them very clear that after passing the CAB in both the houses of Parliament, President of India has also given assent to it. So there is no scope to provide any relief. But he assured central government would take care of the interest of the indigenous population of Tripura.”
