Licenses of people fleecing tourist to be cancelled in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 9 (UNI) In view of the recent complaints of cheating of tourists at various health resorts, authorities have decided to take strict action, including cancellation of licenses of the people found involved in fleecing visitors.
An official spokesperson here today said that strict action will be taken against the culprits who are found involved in cheating. He said Assistant Director Tourism, Gulmarg, was directed to cancel the registration of offenders involved in two or more offences.
“In order to streamline the functioning of ponywallas, identity cards would be issued jointly by Police and Tourism Department and the same process will be completed in few weeks time,” he said.
