Licenses of 11 fertilizer shops suspended in UP

Gonda, Aug 13 (UNI) The licenses of 11 shops were suspended by the District Agriculture Officer after irregularities were found during a raid on 285 fertilizer shops operated in various areas of this Uttar Pradesh district, the officer said on Thursday.
The samples of 63 shops have been sent to the laboratories for a test.
District Agriculture Officer JP Yadav here said that complaints were being received that the sellers were selling fertilizers to the farmers at a higher price than the fixed rate even on telephone and after putting urea and other products.

Bhopal, Sep 18 (UNI) In a boon for Madhya Pradesh’s cultivators, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday electronically transferred Rs 4,686 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to 22 lakh peasants during a programme conducted in the ancient temple town Ujjain, it was officially learnt.
“It is an unalloyed truth that my dispensation is farmer-friendly and the pivotal focus is on the agrarian sphere. Irrespective of circumstances, the government stands alongside our tiller brethren,” the senior politician assured.

Raipur, Sep 18 (UNI) As many as 3842 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive patients have been found in Chhattisgarh during the last 24 hours, talking the tally to 81617 although 2614 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery on Friday. Seventeen patients who were infected with Coronavirus have died.
