LG should make her stance clear on Hydro Carbonproject : Dutt

Puducherry, Jan 22 (UNI) AICC secretary Sanjay Dutt on Wednesday demanded that Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi should make her stance clear on the setting up of Hydro Carbon project in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the Union Territory.

Talking to news persons here, Mr. Dutt said the LG posture herself to be a champion of environmental issues and why she is silent on this issue.
She is the constitutional head as the LG of Puducherry and is she going to speak out against the project and stand with the people of Puducherry or once again prove that she is just a “puppet” of the BJP government at the Centre .
This is going to be a real test where the people are going to judge, he said, adding that if Ms Bedi is really a champion of environmental issues and if she is really concerned for the people then she should oppose the project, he said.
'Her continued silence only will reinforce the perception and belief that she is here only as an agent and ‘puppet’ of the BJP', Mr Dutt said.
