Amaravati Mar 24 (UNI) Responding to the letter, written by BJP national president Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu described it as a bunch of lies and humiliation to the state.
Addressing the Assembly on Saturday, the Chief Minister came down heavily on Amit Shah, alleging that he distorted facts and lied in the letter. The Chief Minister read out some important points of the letter in the Assembly. "Without doing injustice to AP, the BJP wants attack it with misleading statements and spreading lies on the assistance to the state, extended by the Centre so far", he slammed.
“All should read Amit Shah’s letter, which is humiliating the state. I have not taken the decision of quitting the NDA in haste. We have quit the NDA after four years wait for justice. The struggle for AP will continue til the justice is done. I demand the Centre to extend industrial incentives, which are being extended to the Special Category Status states” he said.
People of the state are now under impression that more injustice was meted to AP by the BJP than the Congress, he lashed out. "Mr.Amit Shah in his letter tried to blame the government and blame me. When we asked for SCS, Finance Minister Arun Jaitly made a statement in midnight that SCS can not be granted but funds will be extended as per the SCS" Mr.Naidu slammed.
The TDP respected the coalition darma but BJP itself damaged it. Two Rajya Sabha seats were given to BJP in Andhra Pradesh following the coalition darma, he reminded.
