Let’s resolve to make country more prosperous on Amrit Mahotsav: Modi

New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the country will soon celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence as 'Amrit Mahotsav' and on this occasion, everyone has to take a pledge to make the nation prosperous, advanced, and prosperous.
Speaking on the 75th episode of his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, he said “See what a very happy coincidence, today I got the opportunity to do the 75th 'Mann Ki Baat' and this month is also the beginning of the 75 year 'Amrit Mahotsav' of independence. The Amrit Mahotsav began on the day of the Dandi March and will continue till 15 August 2023.
Programmes related to 'Amrit Mahotsav' are being held continuously across the country, people are sharing pictures of these programs from different places, he added.
Appealing to the countrymen, he said that people can bring the struggle saga of a freedom fighter, a history of a place, or any cultural story from the country, to the fore during Amrit Mahotsav and get them connected to the countrymen with it.
Describing the importance of Amrit Mahotsav, the Prime Minister said that our freedom implies that we make new resolves….and to realize those resolves, we persevere wholeheartedly with due diligence…and resolves should be such that are meant for the welfare of society, for the good of the country, for a bright future for India.
“You will see – by and by, Amrit Mahotsav will be filled up with similar inspiring drops of nectar…and then the elixir that will flow will inspire us till a hundred years of the Independence of India…it will elevate the country to newer heights, begetting a fervor to do something or the other for the country. In the struggle for freedom, our fighters underwent innumerable hardships since they considered a sacrifice for the sake of the country as their duty”, he exhorted.
Referring to one of the listeners Naveen from Jharkhand, who sent him a message on NamoApp, along with some pictures, Mr Modi said that after watching the programme of the Amrit Mahotsav, he has decided that he would visit at least ten places connected with the Freedom Struggle and the first name on his list is that of the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
“Naveen has written that he will disseminate stories of the tribal freedom fighters of Jharkhand to other parts of the country. Bhai Naveen and congratulated him for his thought.
