Leopard dies after falling in farm-well near Gir forest

Junagadh, Oct 21 (UNI) A leopard on Monday died after falling in a farm-well in a village close to Gir forest in Junagadh district of Gujarat.

A forest official said that a leopard died after falling in an around 60 feet deep farm-well of one Jamanbhai in Ratang village of Visavadar taluka.
While in separate incident, 60-year old woman Anadiben V Thakor, was injured after being attacked by another leopard in Lalpur village of the same taluka.
She was treated in Visavadar Community health center.

High waves likely along, off Guj coast; fishermen advised to stay away

Pune, Jul 10 (UNI) High waves measuring up to 4.6 meters are likely along and off Gujarat coast whereas squally weather is predicted over Kerala-Karnataka coasts and Lakshadweep areas.
Strong winds are likely over southwest, westcentral, eastcentral and northeast Arabian Sea. Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea over these areas.
