Left student unions stage 'Chalo Secretariat' protest over fee reimbursement arrears

Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI) Tension prevailed near the Telangana Secretariat on Tuesday as members of several Left-wing student organisations staged a 'Chalo Secretariat' protest demanding the immediate release of pending fee reimbursement and scholarship arrears.
Hundreds of students affiliated with AISF, SFI, PDSU, AIFDS, AISB, AIDSO and AIPSU attempted to march towards the Secretariat, raising slogans against the government.
Police stopped the protesters by erecting barricades, leading to a scuffle before several student leaders and activists were detained and shifted to various police stations. Some students reportedly sustained minor injuries during the confrontation.
