Left parties takes different stand in Kerala and Pondy ; workers in difficult situation in Mahe

Kannur, Mar 20 (UNI) The workers of Left parties in Mahe are in a difficult situation after the Central leadership of CPI(M) and CPI has taken different stand in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and in the neighbouring Union Territory of Puducherry for the April 23 Lok Sabha election.
In Kerala, Congress and Left parties are contesting against each other while in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry it is opposite due to the alliance with DMK.
The Left party units at Mahe, which is part of Puducherry, comes under the party's Thalassery area committee in Kannur district in Kerala and the party workers are bound to work for CPI(M) candidate P K Sreemathy and to oppose the Congress candidate K Sudhakaran.
