Last rites of Lt Anurag performed in his ancestral village in Palamu

Daltonganj, Apr 22 (UNI) The last rites of Lieutenant Anurag Shukla, who had lost his life while trying to save the life of a jawan of his battalion, was today performed at the banks of Koyel river here with full state honours.
His father Jitendra Shukla lit up the funeral pyre of his son in the presence of hundreds of villagers.
Earlier in the day, his body was brought from Ranchi to Medninagar, where people from all walks of life turned up to pay their tributes to the young man.
