Lalu arrives Patna after gap of three years

Patna, Oct 24 (UNI) The political stalwart and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Rasad Yadav arrived here late this evening after a gap of nearly three years.
Accompanied by his wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and his daughter Misa Bharti MP Mr Yadav was welcome at the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport Patna by both of his sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav as well as several senior leaders of RJD and his huge supporters.
Before leaving for Patna , Mr Yadav while interacting with a section of media at his residence in New Delhi pooh poohed the allegations of Congress squarely blaming RJD for disintegration of the grand alliance and said that it would have been improper to leave the two Assembly Constituencies Kusheshwar Asthan and Tarapur slated for polls on October 30 in the by elections for Congress. Had these seats been left for Congress it would have lost them, he claimed.
Mr Yadav also ruled out any differences within his family and stated that both Tejasvi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav are his children.
He said that following the advice of his doctors he came to Patna for a month and would follow the medical advice of his treating doctors.
Meanwhile speculations were rife that Mr Yadav would address at least one public meeting in both of the constituencies, however any decision regarding this would be taken after considering the medical advice of the doctors, informed sources close to Mr Yadav.
RJD’s national vice-president Shivanand Tiwari said Mr Yadav's arrival has instilled confidence among the party workers and those who were associated with the RJD president were happy to see him at Patna.
It is said that the leader of opposition in the state assembly Tejasvi Prasad Yadav, younger son of RJD supremo who was facing the wrath of his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav was more comfortable with the arrival of his father.
Prior to this Mr Yadav had last come to Patna in May 2018 on a parole to attend his elder son Tej Pratap’s wedding.
Mr Yadav was undergoing treatment in Delhi after his release from the jail in April this year.
It is learnt that a separate room with medical facilities has been prepared for Mr Yadav at the bungalow of Rabri Devi, 10, Circular Road Patna.
Mr Yadav's arrival ahead of Deepavali and Chhath festival has boosted the mood of Lalu Rabri family as well as the supporters of RJD.
