Lakshya Sen sails into semis of China Masters

Lingshui, Mar 15 (UNI) Asian junior champion Lakshya Sen continued his sensational performance as he sailed into he men's singles semi-finals of China Masters badminton tournament with a victory over China's fourth-seeded Zeqi Zhou on Friday.
Lakshya who is ranked 104 in the world beat the Chinese player of the 42nd Rankings in the quarter-finals by 16-21, 21-15, 21-19 in a struggling fight for an hour and a minute. He won the match by having a great comeback after losing the first game.
Lakshya got bye in the first round while in the second round, he defeated the Loh Kean Yew of Singapore by 21-12, 21-13 in 34 minutes.
Indian player defeated Korea's Yoo Hyun-young by 21-14 21-15 in 46 minutes in the third round match.
Lakshya Sen will face China's Weng Hongyang of the 258th in the semifinal.
He defeated Hongyang in the Asian Junior Championships in 2016.
