Kushwaha sits on dharna to press Nitish govt to allot land for Central school

Aurangabad, Dec 8 (UNI) Three days after coming down heavily on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his insensitivity towards improving the quality of education in the state, Union Minister of State for Human Resources Upendra Kushwaha today sat on dharna here at Deo Kund to press him for immediate allotment of land to open Central school for which approval has already been given by the Central government.
Mr Kushwaha, who sat on day long dharna at Deo Kund to protest insensitivity of Mr Kumar for improving quality of education, said that the Central government had already approved a proposal to open Central schools in Nawada and Aurangabad but Nitish Kumar government did not allot the plot required for the purpose even after four months. One Central school was to be opened at Deo Kund in Aurangabad while the other was to be opened in Nawada as per proposal approved by the Central government, he added.
Mr Kushwah, also president of RLSP, had been targeting Nitish Kumar government for its failure in taking suitable steps required to improve the quality of education in Bihar. He had even described schools in Bihar as restaurant where only mid-day meal was being served to students but they were not getting quality education there.
