Kunming Open: Ankita Raina scares former World no 1 Samantha Stosur

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) India's top women's singles player Ankita Raina on Wednesday progressed to the second round of Kunming Open in China defeating former US Open champion Samantha Stosur on Wednesday.
Asian Games bronze medallist Raina, caused a major upset beating Australian 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 in a two hours and fifty minutes battle at the WTA 125K event.
Currently ranked 178 in the world, Raina met Stosur for the second time where Stosur won their last encounter in straight sets.
