Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Oct 22 2016 6:46PM Krushak cell of Congress to organise convention to protest anti-farmer policy of BJD govtBhubaneswar, Oct 22 (UNI) The Krushak Cell of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) will organise Krushak Jagaran convention in 30 districts of Odisha from the first week of next month, demanding fulfillment of its 21-point charter of demands and in protest against the anti-farmer policies of BJD government. Krushak Cell Chairman Amiya Patnaik made this announcement at the office bearers meeting of Khet Mazdoor Congress of all Western Odisha districts at Jharsuguda, yesterday. The demands included increasing the Minimum Support Price of paddy to Rs 2500 per quintal, Rs 500 bonus on every quintal, immediate payment of last year's crop insurance dues, providing free electricity for agriculture, declaring revenue village as a unit for crop insurance, waiving of agricultural loan up to 2015 and Rs 3000 monthly pension to every farmer above the age of 50.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #Krushak cell of Congress to organise convention to protest anti-farmer policy of BJD govt
