Seoul, Sep 25 (UNI) India's challenge in the women's singles of Korea Open Super 500 tournament came to an end, after both P V Sindhu and Saina Nehwal crashed out in the first round, here on Wednesday.
Saina had to end her campaign after she retired hurt, during the third game against South Korea's Kim Ga Eun in the first round match.
Nehwal started well and won the opening game 21-19, but lost the second one by 18-21 against the South Korean. In the third and final round, Kim Ga Eun was ahead 8-1, when the Indian eighth seed retired from the match.
