Panaji, Jun 30 (UNI) The National Award winning Konkani film, 'Enemy' has added two more feathers to its cap. The movie has been selected to be screened at the London India Film Festival to be held in July and India Film Festival of Melbourne 2016 to be held in August. Speaking to UNI, producer of the film A D Prasad said, ‘’After being the National Award winning Konkani Film 2016, we are now delighted that the film is going international and will be exposed to the audience in London and Australia. This is indeed a huge achievement for a Konkani film produced from Goa. ‘’The film is still running successfully in the theatres. It has been screened in Nashik International Film Festival held in March this year and sent for Kolkata International Film Festival to be held in November this year. The film has been sent to many international film festivals also where it is under process of selection. However, it is for the first time that the film has been selected for a film festival abroad,’’ he added. Speaking to UNI, Meenacshi Martins, who played lead role in the film, said, ’’I am very pleased with the advancement of regional cinema in general and specifically my mother tongue, Konkani. It is such a pleasure to know that our culture and our way of life will be showcased world over.’’ "ENEMY?" was directed by Dinesh P Bhonsle who had previously directed a Hindi movie "Calapor".
