KONE India inaugurates its Central Regional office in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 19 (UNI) KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, on Monday inaugurated its Central Regional Office in Hyderabad, marking a major step in strengthening its presence across some of India’s fastest-growing urban markets.
With this, the Central Region becomes KONE India’s fifth operational region, joining the North, South, East and West regions. From its Hyderabad headquarters, the new office will cater to a rapidly expanding market spread across Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, including key cities such as Hyderabad and Warangal, Nagpur and Amravati, Bhopal and Indore, and Raipur.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Philippe Delorme, President and CEO of KONE, said the company is the first elevator manufacturer in India to create a fifth region and base it in Hyderabad to provide faster support and stronger customer proximity in a promising market. He said around 120 people will be working from the Hyderabad regional office to serve customers in the Central zone.
Delorme said KONE’s growth strategy in India continues to be built around local proximity and customer service. He noted that the company has a large manufacturing facility in Chennai and is expanding its service and delivery workforce through the new regional structure to ensure quicker installation and better maintenance support across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Amit Gossain, Managing Director, KONE India & South Asia, said India remains a high-growth market and KONE has invested heavily to strengthen its operations. He said KONE has over 6,000 employees and around 2,500 subcontractors across India, apart from having five training centres to continuously upskill its workforce.
Highlighting innovation, Gossain said KONE’s 24/7 connected services enable digital monitoring and predictive maintenance, helping detect elevator issues before failures occur and improving safety and customer satisfaction. He added that the Hyderabad regional office will also include a training centre as part of the company’s focus on employee development.
During the interaction, the leadership also stressed KONE’s push towards digitisation, modernisation of ageing elevators, a wide product range for residential and commercial buildings, and sustainability initiatives aligned with long-term carbon reduction goals.
