Kolhapur reports 6 COVID deaths

Kolhapur, Sep 20 (UNI) Kolhapur on Monday reported 40 new cases of COVID-19 while 6 people lost their lives, the authorities said in a health bulletin.
The fresh addition took the district tally to 205761 while the death toll soared to 5757.
As many as 76 people were cured and discharged, during the day taking the recovery count to 199382.

No FIR yet against Sameer Wankhede: Home Minister Patil

Mumbai, Oct 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil on Monday stated that no FIR has been filed yet against the NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, accused of seeking bribe in the cruise drugs case.

Talking to media persons here, he told, “Prabhakar Shail, a witness in the cruise case, had filed an affidavit which I have gone through. Nobody came forward to file an FIR, that is why FIR was not registered.”
“But, Shail had gone to the Sahar police station, but what happened there I am not aware. I will collect information in the matter,” he added.
