Sydney, Nov 24 (UNI) Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley has said the Virat Kohli's departure after the first Test of the Border Gavaskar series will have no financial implications on the board.
The India captain Kohli, who is central to both CA and the broadcasters' marketing plans for the series, is set to miss three of the four Tests in order to fly back home to attend the birth of his first child.
"I think the first thing is that we're delighted for Virat and Anushka [Sharma] for the imminent birth of their child," Hockley said said during a virtual press conference facilitated by official broadcaster Sony.
