Guwahati, Oct 22 (UNI) After trouncing Caribeans in Sunday's match, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has praised fellow batsman Rohit Sharma for his knock in the match.
Virat scored 140 runs in the first of the five ODI matches against the West Indies, while opener Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 152 and added a double century partnership of 246 runs for the second wicket, and won the match with nearly eight overs to spare and eight wickets in hand against a huge target of 323.
Indian captain said after the match, "I feel good and its a satisfying win. The West Indies batted very well and the scored more than 320, which is always difficult to chase. But I knew that we can turn the match with, if we have a big partnerships and when Rohit is at the other end, then it wouldn't be a difficult task. Unlike, any others innings i asked Rohit to play his role".
