Chandigarh, Nov 19 (UNI) Terming the allegation of KMP being unsafe for commuters levelled by Congress leader RS Surjewala as irresponsible and ridiculous, Haryana Industries Minister Mr Vipul Goel on Monday said that, Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Express way (KMP) would not have opened for yet another decade.
In a sharp reaction to the allegation of Congress, Mr Goel said that the Third Party Safety Auditor in their report dated November 14, 2018 has found the project road to be safe and reliable. Further after a review of this report, the Independent Consultant had also on November 17, 2018 recommended that the Expressway can be opened to traffic.
He said that both the Third Party Safety Auditor and the Independent Consultant had recommended operating the highway @80 KMPH for cars and @60 KMPH for trucks for the first month to enable familiarization of road users to entry/exit points at interchange.
